Hi :), Welcome to my new blog. Well fist let me introduce me, since many people won't know who am and will probably ask, who is this guy anyway?
First I am a 25 year old C# developer from Wellington, New Zealand(for those that don't know, the home of the All Blacks and The Lord of The Rings trilogy), and most definitely a tech geek, but not just any tech geek as you will find out.
Second I am a proponent of Microsoft technologies, and don't get me wrong if you are reading this and thinking about getting a mob together and chasing me down the street well read further and you might understand what I mean.
What I like about Microsoft is what they are trying to create in the world of technology, which is something I am passionate about; like cool development technologies that allow you to create awesome funky software that people gain lots of value out of using. Now I do not think that Microsoft is perfect as I know they have made may mistakes over the years, but they are also at the heart if not the driving force behind computing for the last 30 years.
Some people out there believe that Microsoft is somehow inherently evil, and from the many blog entries from Microsoft people I do not believe this at all, infect I think they do more to aid technological drive than any other company in the world.
Windows Vista for example is a fantastic operating system, and all though I am unhappy about it taking over 5 years to produce after Windows XP, I am happy that the end product is a massive improvement over Windows XP. I will be saying more about my expreriences with Windows Vista over the last 6 months in subsequent posts.
One final thought. Microsoft isn't perfect but who is. This tech geek certainly isn't.
